Wow! It’s hard to believe it’s 2008!
It's January 1, 2008. Happy New Year everyone! Where does the time go? It's hard to believe another year has come and gone. As another year passes it always leads me down the road of reflection. Reflection on what happened in the past year, especially in the lives of my children. It's amazing how a child grows in just one year. My son is only 9 years old and almost as big as I am. Yes, he's a big boy. Gets his size from both sides of the family. My dad, who died when I was only 18, was an impressive man. My son looks a lot like my father, and is definitely built like him. I wish every day that my dad was still here to see his grandchildren. My father was only 42 years old when he passed away from unexpected health problems. His sudden death is a reminder to me everyday of how we have to cherish each moment with those we love. Like I said, as I turn the calendar to a new year, my memories of the past emerge even more. However, I'm thankful for the wonderful memories I have of my father. And I want to continue to create wonderful memories for my children. As I sit here now, I can say my children and I had many wonderful happenings in 2007. Experiences we will remember for a life time. So as 2008 begins, my goal is to "let the good times roll" with my children, family, and friends. Happy New Year folks! May 2008 be your best year ever.
