Wow, is this different?
Standing outside the Palace Theatre tonight, reporting live on the upcoming Democratic Presidential Debate, all I could think about was “Wow, is this different?” Tonight, it was a bone-chilling cold. And it will be even colder when the Democratic hopefuls walk into the Palace Theatre on Monday night. It will actually feel like winter, something we Grand Stranders don’t like to admit that we ever have. We like the weather that ushered in the Republican candidates last week. In fact, when I reported live atop the Sheraton Convention Center Hotel, I was actually roasting up there. I know it’s January, and I’m listening to our 11 pm producer at this moment talk about how that she hates to complain about the 40 degree weather to her mom, while her mother survives sub-zero weather in Minnesota right now. I feel the same way. How can we complain? However, when you’re showing off your town, you want everything to be perfect. We pretty much had that last week, so I’m hoping we can at least have beautiful sunshine, even if it’s freezing!

Interesting segment on prep work for the debate. They better make sure that new stage is well built. Hillarys got BACK. Now, I like bit butts and I cannot lie. Those other brothers can deny….......oh never mind.
Did The Palace mention anything about increased security?
