AAAA Region VI

WHO'S IN Conway, West Florence, Sumter, Hartsville

WHO'S OUT South Florence, Carolina Forest

EXPLANATION: The top three teams are guaranteed spots in the playoffs, and there's almost no doubt that whoever finishes second in this very good region will be a wild card team. Of course, you don't want to put this to chance, but it's too early to tell which one of those top four would finish fourth

AAA Region VI

WHO'S IN: Crestwood, Marlboro

WHO'S OUT: Wilson

ON THE BUBBLE: Darlington, Lakewood, Camden

EXPLANATION: The three teams on the bubble are lucky that Wilson is suspended from postseason play, because two of them would be out, instead of one of them. Camden probably is the best team out of this group, so the Darlington vs. Lakewood game will probably be a play-in game for the playoffs.

AAA Region VII

WHO'S IN: Myrtle Beach

WHO'S OUT: Lake City

ON THE BUBBLE: Socastee, North Myrtle Beach, St. James, Georgetown

EXPLANATION: I don't foresee Myrtle Beach losing another region game, but these four teams are all wild cards to me. Socastee probably guaranteed itself a trip to the playoffs with a win over North Myrtle Beach, and Georgetown also looks good, after beating St. James. But as of right now, it's too early to pencil them in.

AA Region VII

WHO'S IN: Timberland, Hanahan, Manning

ON THE BUBBLE: Waccamaw, Andrews, Kingstree

EXPLANATION: All six of these teams were in the playoffs last year, while two of them won't be back. The games between the three teams on the bubble will tell the tale of who moves on, and who stays home.

AA Region VIII

WHO'S IN: Dillon, Cheraw

WHO'S OUT: Aynor

ON THE BUBBLE: Marion, Loris, Mullins

EXPLANATION: Marion has a HUGE advantage by beating Loris last week, and as bad as the Swamp Foxes have looked at times, they are a win over Aynor away from going back to the playoffs. Then it will come down to the Loris/Mullins game for the other playoff spot.

A Region VII

WHO'S IN: Lamar, Scott's Branch, Timmonsville, Hannah-Pamplico

ON THE BUBBLE: CE Murray, East Clarendon

A Region VIII

WHO'S IN: Lake View, Carvers Bay, Latta, Hemingway

ON THE BUBBLE: Johnsonville, Green Sea-Floyds, Creek Bridge

EXPLANATION: Just about every team in Class A, makes the playoffs. But if I was any of these teams on the bubble, I would make sure to win a few more games to guarantee a spot in the postseason.
