What Lincoln is Thinkin’ - Midseason Awards
What Lincoln is Thinkin' - Midseason AwardsAAAA MVP SETH MORELAND RB/LB Conway Before the season started, Conway coach Chuck Jordan said he couldn't afford to run Moreland that much because he was the best defensive player on his team. Through the first 6 weeks for Conway he's proved he's also the best offensive player on the team.
AAA MVP EVERETT GOLSON QB Myrtle Beach The super sophomore has gotten even better in the year following his phenomenal freshman year. However, I would give an honorable mention to Myrtle WR Jamere Valentine, who has been Golson's go-to-guy and made some huge plays so far this year.
AA MVP KEVIN DIXON CB/WR Dillon By himself, Dixon was responsible for four turnovers in the Myrtle Beach game, and has had one of the most unbelievable catches of the first half. He's the leader of that Nasty Cat defense.
A MVP QUANDON CHRISTIAN RB/LB Lake View Just watch a Lake View game. And you'll know why.
Top Coach JEFF BLEY Latta After going two and a half years without a win, Bley's Vikings are 4-2. Remarkable.
Biggest Surprise Central We thought they were going to be good, but this good? Central has turned into maybe the second best AA team in the state behind Timberland.
Biggest Disappointment Cheraw It's not too late for the Braves to turn around their season, but I believe fans in Cheraw are as disappointed as anyone that they're 2-3.
Best Play KINSMAN THOMAS WR Marlboro County His behind the back catch against Scotland County is like nothing I've ever seen.
Best Game Tie: Hartsville @ Myrtle Beach, Conway @ Myrtle Beach Back-to-back games that came down to last second field goals. Everyone knows Myrtle Beach would be good, but they've also proven they can stay cool under pressure and win games late.
Who would you give your awards to?
