What Lincoln is Thinkin’ - Driver Terrific 13

What Lincoln is Thinkin' - Driver Terrific 13 - After Talladega

1. Kyle Busch Last Week: (2) Not that he needed any luck, but Rowdy was the beneficiary of a few late cautions and wrecks at 'Dega. Kyle is the only driver that has 5 top 5's in nine races.
2. Jeff Burton (1) Burton falls a spot after finishing outside the top 10 for only the third time.
3. Dale Earnhardt Jr. (4) Junior finished in the top 10 for the Cup-best seventh time at Talladega. But he has to be extraordinarily disappointed that he could not hold onto the lead over the last 20 laps.
4. Denny Hamlin (8) Hamlin's meteoric rise up the rankings continues. He was off the board after the first few races, but now he's had four straight top 5's.
5. Jimmie Johnson (7) JJ is like Denny, they've both been outside the rankings and moved up into the top 5. Johnson finished 13th at Dega, surviving the big crashes.
6. Carl Edwards (3) Edwards has had lots of booms and lots of busts this year... and a 40th place at Talladega may have been his biggest bust yet.
7. Kevin Harvick (6) Harvick has just two top 5's and four top 10's this year, but when he's been bad, he hasn't been THAT bad.
8. Clint Bowyer (12) Quietly having a pretty good year - he's finished in the top 10 the last 6 races.
9. Tony Stewart (5) Smoke had issues on Saturday, leading for awhile, then blowing a tire. A 38th place finish is discouraging when he had a great car.
10. Ryan Newman (10 Newman was one of the countless number of drivers who had a lead late on Sunday. But the Daytona winner could not hold on to a top 10 finish.
11. Greg Biffle (9) Biff has tapered off from his hot start, but continues to stay in the top ten in points.
12. Jeff Gordon (NR) Gordon, also couldn't hold on to a spot up front at the end of Talladega. He waited too long to make his move, and finished 19th.
13. Juan Pablo Montoya (NR) JPM makes his first showing in the rankings after finishing second at Talladega, and moving into the top 12 in the points standings.

Fallen from the rankings: Matt Kenseth, Kasey Kahne
Just missed: Kahne, David Ragan

What do you think about my rankings? Who do you like in Richmond?
