What Lincoln is Thinkin’ - Bracket Busted
Before I look ahead to the Regionals, let's first address of few of my forecasts from last Monday.Where I was wrong
Baylor over Purdue came from my hatred for the Big 10. I felt it was overrated, which it is, but not so overrated that the Boilermakers weren't so bad that they'd lose to the last team to make the tournament.
St. Joseph's would beat Oklahoma maybe once in 20 times. I was obviously not sober when I made that pick.
I really thought Pittsburgh was going to make a run to the Final Four. But as we've seen over the years, deep runs in the conference tournaments don't always correlate with NCAA Tournament success. So I guess sleeping on Pitt would've been the right choice.
Where I was right
I told you to tell all of your friends to pick Siena over Vanderbilt. So you have no excuse for getting that one wrong.
I told you that Clemson would not get to the Elite Eight. Obviously, I was right.
I told you that West Virginia would beat Duke. (I also said Drake would beat Connecticut, and that really would've happened too.. just trust me.)
What's Next
If you can only watch two games on Thurs/Fri, watch Louisville vs. Tennessee, and Stanford vs. Texas. These two games should go down to the wire - even though L'ville has rolled through two games and Tennessee has struggled. Texas better find out a way to stop the Lopez twins, or the Horns will be going home too.
I get the feeling that North Carolina and Kansas will both go down to the wire in the next two games. They can't blow out everyone on their way to the Final Four. UNC will get a handful from the Tennessee/Louisville winner, and Kansas better not be thrown off by Villanova's seed number.
I like Davidson and West Virginia to keep their Cinderella runs alive for one more round. Georgetown is a considerably better team than Wisconsin, so I think Stephen Curry will keep that team alive... and West Virginia can definitely beat Xavier. It's in the Elite Eight where they see their runs stop.
My new Final Four? Kansas over Louisville, UCLA over Memphis, with Kansas beating UCLA.
What do you think about my projections? If you could change your bracket, who would you have winning it all?

I can’t fault you for picking Baylor. Even growing up a Mizzou fan, I have a soft spot for the Bears. They did afterall get Valpo’s coach! And any Valpo fan is a fan of the Drews!
