What Lincoln is Thinkin' - Week 3

I'm Thinkin' that the best game of the night on Friday may be in Sumter. Manning plays at Crestwood, and while many expected the Knights to be down after losing their entire backfield, they've won impressive games over Sumter High and Blythewood. Meanwhile, Manning may be the best team in AA. It's one of those games that is just a bunch of fun, because it really means little in the big scheme of things. I'm Thinkin' that Manning will find a way to outscore the Knights.

I'm Thinkin' Timmonsville is in a big of trouble. The Whirlwinds won seven games last year, but they've started 0-2 and play Mullins, Wilson and Marion next, three teams that they may not be better then. If Jimmy Woods' team is not careful, they could start 0-5. I'm Thinkin' that Timmonsville will find a way to beat either Mullins or Marion to start 1-4, but will win all their region games other than Lamar and make it back to the playoffs

I'm Thinkin' Waccamaw has shown some real toughness in two opening victories. The Warriors have a great core of 7 or 8 players that can go toe-to-toe with some of the best in AA. The problem is they're not very deep, and those players play a lot. Still, they found the muster to beat Socastee on a late TD drive. I'm Thinkin' Waccamaw will start 5-0, but then they're final game against Kingstree will decided whether they get in the playoffs.

I'm Thinkin' that it will be tough for Myrtle Beach to recover quickly from the 65-14 loss to Byrnes. It doesn't matter who it is, when you lose that badly, it shakes your confidence. It would be great if the Seahawks could come back with an easy game this week, but they have another reigning state champion in Dillon waiting for them. The Wildcats will punch them in the mouth early, then we shall see how Myrtle Beach will respond. I'm Thinkin' that this game will come down to late in the fourth quarter, and I like Myrtle Beach's chances with Golson.

I'm Thinkin' Lake City is looking to pound Kingstree. The Jaguars took advantage of a depleted Panthers team last year because of suspensions for the brawl. Kingstree took the win at home last year, but I'm Thinkin' the Panthers will pour it on at Ward Memorial

I'm Thinkin' one of the most important games for both clubs is Loris at Green Sea-Floyds. Despite beating South Columbus last week, the Lions have not performed to the level they were expecting out of the gate. Meanwhile, the Trojans have opened to a 2-1 record and looked good in their victories. I'm Thinkin' this is an upset alert, I'll take the Floyds.

I'm Thinkin' Loris isn't the only team that should be on upset watch. Darlington will hang with Lamar Friday and could beat them if the Foxes commit too many errors, also Carvers Bay should not overlook Andrews and Latta should give a talented Ashley Ridge team all they can handle. I'm Thinkin' one game that will not be an upset - Lake View will not lose to a very good Dillon Christian team.

I'm Thinkin' these are my NFL picks for this year: AFC Division winners: New England, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, San Diego. AFC Wild Cards: Tennessee, Cincinnati. NFC Division winners: Dallas, Arizona, New Orleans and Green Bay. NFC Wild Cards: Minnesota and New York. I'm Thinkin' the Patriots will beat the Saints in Super Bowl XLIV.
