What Lincoln is Thinkin’ - Week Four
What Lincoln is Thinkin' - Week FourI'm thinkin' that Hartsville vs. Myrtle Beach may be the most entertaining game of the year. Both teams loves to throw it all over the field, and Hartsville is also one of the best rushing teams in the state too. The Red Fox defense was put to the test against Wilson, and shut them down for most of the game. Meanwhile, that Myrtle Beach offense showed they can run it up on anyone (other than Byrnes) when they put 55 on Dillon. I'm thinkin' the final score of this game will be in the triple digits, with Hartsville pulling off what I would think is an upset.
I'm thinkin' Manning let me down last week. I thought they would give Crestwood more of a game, but could only manage 7 points. I think that was an eye-opening game for a lot of the AAA teams that Crestwood is back at the level they were last year even if they lost their entire backfield. South Florence is going to get smacked on Thursday night by the Knights, and I'm thinkin' that Manning would be able to hang with Lake City either.
I'm thinkin' Waccamaw vs. Loris is an intriguing matchup. The Lions have found they are better with the faster QB (Kentrez Hilton) then they are with the one with the better arm (Adam Peterson). So they've become much more dangerous. Meanwhile, the Warriors remain undefeated, and put up 49 points on Hannah-Pamplico last week, which is the second most points they've ever scored (they scored 55 on H-P in 2001). This will be another good test to see if the Warriors are for real. I'm thinkin' they are, and they'll improve to 4-0
I'm thinkin' the Conway offense finally got rolling last week. The Tigers put 41 points on the board against Socastee, and had three touchdowns called back for holding penalties. Conway is using Robert Nelson in addition to freshman Mykal Moody at quarterback, and that seemed to keep that Tiger offense fresher. I'm thinkin' that won't matter against Marlboro County, who will dismantle the Tigers in the trenches.
I'm thinkin' desperation is a stinky cologne (that's a Super Troopers reference, the first one to make in the WLIT), and both Darlington and West Florence are looking at this Friday's game as a real opportunity to get their first win, when there doesn't seem to be a lot left on their schedules. I'm thinkin' Darlington wins the battle of the winless.
What are you thinkin' about for this week?
