Veterans Raise Enough Money To Go To D.C.
Great news to share from the group of Grand Strand veterans headed to the National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C.They've raised enough--more than enough--money to make the trip! Through various fundraisers all up and down the coast, the group has, so far, raised more than $50,000.
Lou Krieger told me the Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce even offtered to pay for buses and a meal for the group while they're in Washington.
But there are still ways you can contribue, and I hope that you do.
I am privileged to be able to go with the group to Washington on November 10th. Jody Barr and I will take the trip, and cover it for News13. I consider it an honor to be allowed to attend, and I hope the videotape we bring back does even one ounce of justice to the sacrifice, honor, and service these veterans are taking with us to see their memorial.
Keep on giving, and keep watching News13 for complete coverage of this amazing trip!
