Under the Sun: One toe in the waters of technology
Well, I know how to blog and how to use an iPod, but I still feel like I’m behind when it comes to popular technology and Internet sites.Twitter (http://www.twitter.com) seems to be the new thing, but I haven’t signed up for it yet.
Friends are also telling me to join Facebook. I’ve read about that and MySpace in AP articles and have heard friends talk about it, but I’ve never joined any of the social networking sites.
I look at a computer screen all day at work, so I usually find myself unwilling to turn on the computer when I get home.
One piece of technology that I find interesting, however, is Amazon’s Kindle. It’s a wireless device that lets you buy and download books from http://www.amazon.com.
I think the Kindle has been out for a little more than a year. I read on cnn.com that they’re supposed to release an updated version sometime in 2009.
I think the Kindle was about $400 when it first came out. The price has dropped to about $360.
I can’t see paying that much for it, unless you’re someone who travels all the time and doesn’t want to carry a bunch of books around.
Hopefully, as it becomes more popular, the price will keep dropping.

I've never posted a photo with my blogs, so today I’ll leave you with a photo I took in New York City, I think in 1991.
I scanned the photo in and used Photoshop to make it look more like a painting.

Strawberry fields. Damn, I miss Lennon.
