Under the Sun: May movies

“Star Trek” and “Terminator: Salvation” are in the theaters and Pixar’s latest movie, “Up,” starts Friday.

I’ve seen the first two and am really looking forward to watching “Up.”

I enjoyed J.J. Abrams’ reboot of the story that boldly goes where no one has gone before.

I felt bad, however, for any crew members who were given red shirts to wear. They must not have made any friends while at Starfleet Academy.

“Terminator” was interesting — Sam Worthington seemed to have the main role as Marcus Wright, which is probably why he was more interesting than Christian Bale’s John Connor.

Anton Yelchin did a good job playing Kyle Reese. Looks like it’s going to be a good summer for Yelchin. He also plays Chekov in “Star Trek.”

I haven’t seen it, but the “Night at the Museum” sequel seems to be leading at the box office.

Which movies are you looking forward to watching this summer?

Star Trek was an awesome picture. Looking forward to the new Transformers film. It looks like a real summer blockbluster hit.

I can’t wait to see what they do with the next “Star Trek” movie, now that they’ve established the new characters and story line. I think they went ahead and decided to make another one, even before the reboot came out in May.
