The meaningless stories return…

I've been gone for a while...well not really gone in the physical sense, but gone from the blogging community.
I've been getting a lot of other stuff done though. I hope you'll forgive my absence.
I don't really have a particular topic to talk about, but rather random things that probably won't interest you, but hey you've come this far, you might as well keep reading...

So....the bathroom is finished! Several months and a few hundred dollars later. If you were'nt aware of my previous blog, basically the ceramic tile on one of the walls fell off leaving an exposed and very ugly wall, a bathtub filled with tile pieces, and one very upset Patricia.
But now, it's done, so that's one less worry.
Speaking of worries, do you ever have one of those days when just about everything that can go wrong, goes wrong?
Well I had one of those days a little while ago. I had a rough day to begin with, and started home after leaving work. I stopped somewhere, got back in the car, and it wouldn't start. A nice guy helped jump the battery, I got back in the car (and because it was very hot that day and I didn't know any better) I turned on the A.C.
Guess what? The car shut off again. I had to run down the nice guy again to jump the battery. This time I drove home without cooled air.
When I got home I walked in and it was unusually warm. Something wasn't right. It's always freezing when I walk in.
Well wouldn't you know it, the air conditioning stopped working in the house.
So...I had a car that wouldn't start and an unbearably hot house. I had to laugh about it because I didn't have the money to pay to fix these things and I wasn't quite sure what I was going to do.

We eventually got it all taken care of....again, a few hundred dollars later.
But you know what, you really appreciate things when you don't have them for a while....and you never really know how much you need or want them until they're gone.

Speaking of, I've also mentioned before that I only have antenna t.v. and basically five channels.
You know what upsets me? That time of year when whomever is in charge of programming these stations, decides to switch everything around.
Because of my limited selection I assume that certain shows will air at certain times, but for some reason they like to change it up all the time.
I liked to listen to Judge Mathis at 8 when I was getting ready for work. Now Tyra's on.
There's some new judge on another channel, who will take quite a bit of getting used to.
Family guy used to run for an hour at 7, now it's only on for 30 minutes.
And forget about watching Maury at 6:30...he's been moved up to 4 or something like that. (I say 6:30 because I assume you'll be watching News13 at 6:00...I also assume that a lot of you won't be watching Maury but I included it because its time has been changed as well)
I realize that the programming changes are probably driven by ratings, or the cost of running certain shows, etc....
But I do miss seeing my favorites at the times I've come to expect them.

That's all the random things I've got for now. Next time maybe I'll talk about something important...maybe not.
I will tell you that the Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson is going to sneak into my blogs sometime soon....it's my favorite show that I can never stay awake to watch!
How I long for cable tv and a d.v.r........
