Taste of the Town a huge success
The Taste of the Town in Myrtle Beach last night was again a huge success. This was the 24th year for the Taste, and it was a night to remember. Thousands of people packed the Myrtle Beach Convention Center for the annual event. I had the opportunity to broadcast live from the Taste during our five and six o'clock broadcasts. This was my first time attending the Taste, and I must say it was fun. I had the opportunity to sample some of the best food from the finest restaurants on the Grand Strand. In fact, there were more than 50 restaurants in attendance, and they all offered a variety of dishes. I also met a lot of new people and chatted with some faithful viewers of News13. Most important this event benefits a local school. Proceeds from the Taste of the Town support St. Andrew School in Myrtle Beach. Finally, I'd like to thank Margaret Singleton, the Publicity Chairperson, for all her help with our live remotes. I'm already looking forward to next year's Taste of the Town.
