Student shadow for the day
Today I spent a good part of my day with a senior from South Florence High School. Chloe Rodgers shadowed me to get an inside perspective on broadcast journalism. Chloe is already making plans to attend the University of South Carolina, where she will major in Broadcast-Journalism. Chloe tells me she's had an interest in entering the news business for quite some time. Hopefully after today she'll have a better understanding of how the news business operates. Chloe is a bright young lady with a bright future ahead of her. I wish her all the best. And as always, it's her Career Specialist, Beverly McBride, who arranged Chloe's visit. Beverly and I have worked together for a while now. She's sent several students my way for a day of shadowing. I'm always happy to help Beverly out. And I'm certainly thankful for people like Beverly in our school system that truly care about the students.
