Happy St. Patty's Day, everyone!

I mentioned in my Mardi Gras blog how that's the day everyone pretends to be from N'awlins...and today's the day we're all Irish. Or, of course, pretend to be.
I know, as with New Orleans, there are actually people out there who are from Ireland. But how much do you really know about St. Patrick, and why we celebrate him so much today?

A warning: The questions are pretty tough. Or maybe it's just me. We won't get in to how many I got right (or wrong). I'll go ahead and put it out there that I'm not Irish, so there's my excuse. I should've put up a Mardi Gras quiz. I would've aced that one. Too late now.

So back to today's holiday, here's some fun stuff you can do to bring out your inner Leprachaun:

In Flo-town:
*The Annual St. Pat's Parade!
--Gather around at Pickney and Marsh around 3:30.
--The parade starts at 4:00.
--Kids, dogs, grannie, and gramps...everyone's invited!

At the Beach:

*St. Patty's Day Bash with Irish Music (I would assume this means bagpipes).
--At the Portside Pub in Surfside Beach.

*St. Pat's Party at BJ's Bar and Grill.
--Live DJ starting at 7:00.
-- $2 Domestic Bottles, $2.50 Well Drinks, $6 Patron, $2.50 Maragritas,$5 Jager Bombs, Irish Car bomb $4, many more drinks specials.
--Little River.
