Red Foxes’ wild ride continues

The Hartsville Red Foxes wild ride hit another loop Friday with a 28-21 win against Conway.
Nothing like a little payback to brighten your day.
The Red Foxes looked nothing like the team that allowed the Tigers to score 26 unanswered points last month, and Conway looked like a shell of its normal self.
Hartsville's big three of Wil Newsome, Jordan Lyles and Bennett Saunders took the game over. Lyles made more than a few spectacular catches and took advatage of the single covereage in the first half. The offensive line opened up holes all night and Saunders and Co. made sure the Red Foxes kept the ball for the majority of the second half.
The defense also did an outstanding job after looking disoriented on two early touchdown drives by the Tigers. They put pressure on Conway QB Dakota Derrick and batted down a few passes.
It took a huge game against Sumter for the Red Foxes to make the playoffs. Now there's no telling where the ride will end.
