Pretty standard fare

It's halftime, and No. 11 South Carolina punched ina touchdown in the final minute to break a 10-10 tie and take a 17-10 lead into the locker room.
The game has gone pretty much the way many people figured it would. The teams appear to be pretty evenly-matched, although Kentucky's defense has been a little better than I thought it would -- except for that last drive when the Gamecocks made it look easy on an 89-yard scoring march.
Kentucky QB Andre Woodson is a good player, just like everyone knew. The only knock I can find against him is that he doesn't -- or hasn't in this game -- protect the ball as well as he should all the time. He's sometimes a little careless with it in the pocket when he's getting pressured, and he has thrown the ball up for grabs a couple of times, once resulting in an interception at the goal line that thwarted a Wildcat scoring chance when the game was tied at 10.
Chris Smelley has been just as careless sometimes, as well. He's just gotten away with it on a couple of occasions when Kentucky could have intercepted the ball.
Second half should be fun.
