Penguins, Hurricanes will be exciting series
Not much on TV? Need something entertaining to latch on to? Try giving the NHL's Eastern Conference finals a view.Yes, I know it's hockey, but trust me, this will be really good hockey.
The NHL got a big boost last series with the show Pittsburgh's Sidney Crosby and Washington's Alexander Ovechkin put on, scoring goals almost at will.
But don't look for a drop off with the Hurricanes. Carolina's Eric Staal is a superstar no one outside of the region pays much attention to, and both squads are built around one thing:
Speed.
This will be one of the most entertaining series simply based on the fact that both team's M.O. is to get up and down the ice as fast as possible. Think ping-pong on ice, with plenty of hits to go around as well.
Staal, Crosby and Evgeni Malkin provide all the star power you will need. And, it will be interesting to see how the offensive strength of the Penguins matches up against the defense and goaltending of Carolina.
Looking forward to a great series. Looking even more forward to watching Game 4 in person.

OF course I’m watching this one. Won’t make any live games as much as I’d love to. Very thankful TW carries Versus. Of course watching on TV isn’t as good as live but at least I can get my hockey fix. Thankful also the TW carries the NHL network.
