Pecan Festival 5 mile run
The Pecan Festival in Florence is a fun, family event. This year there is a new event. It's a 5 mile run. Robin Parker, owner of the Fitness Forum, contacted me about this event. She and other organizers are really exicted about the addition of this health oriented event. So, I wanted to help get the word out about it, and hopefully you'll get involved. It's called "Run Like A Nut", and no matter what your running level, you're encouraged to attend. The event also includes a team corporate challenge. Proceeds will benefit the Pecan Festival and the City of Florence. Mark your calendar now for Saturday, November 3, 2007. The run starts and ends at St. John's Episcopal Church, which is near where the Festival is located. Start time for the run is 9 a.m. Registration opens at 7:45am. There's a $20.00 entry fee until November first, and it's $25.00 after that date. Registration forms are available at the Fitness Forum in Florence.
