NFL Draft War Room
One thing is for sure, it seems like none of the draft gurus know how this draft is going to shake up. Every pick will have a ripple effect.Here is my mockery of a draft, based mainly on players I think should be at the top. Sad thing is, I’m praying my 49ers take Mark Sanchez at quarterback, or wideout Mike Crabtree lands as the future Pro Bowler.
#1 Detroit Lions: Matthew Stafford, QB, Georgia
#2 St. Louis Rams: Jason Smith, OT, Baylor
#3 Kansas City Chiefs: Aaron Curry, LB, Wake Forest
#4 Seattle Seahawks: Michael Crabtree, WR, Texas Tech
#5 Cleveland Browns: Brian Orakpo, DE/LB, Texas
#6 Cincinnati Bengals: Eugene Monroe, OT, Virginia
#7 Oakland Raiders: Jeremy Maclin, WR, Missouri
#8 Jacksonville Jaguars: B.J. Raji, DT, Boston College
#9 Green Bay Packers: Tyson Jackson, DE, Florida
#10 San Francisco 49ers: Mark Sanchez* Percy Harvin**
* If Sanchez is gone, which I pray he isn’t, I think Malcom Jenkins, CB, Ohio State is the pick.
**Harvin is the most explosive player in the draft. He makes plays from a number of positions on the turf. Maybe the first hybrid wide receiver/running back/return specialist.
