Morning Buzz:  Water prices

Most of us have at least one of these everyday… a cold drink of water. But, CBS News reports that some consumers’ finances are tapped out, leading them to toss the spring water bottle in favor of the tap.

A lot of us complain about the price of gas, but don’t notice how much we’re paying for water. The report says drinking 8 glasses a day of bottled water can cost you up to $2,000 a year!

Mayors around the U.S. agree, and more cities are cutting back on bottled water at government offices.

Have you changed your water drinking habits lately?

I’m afraid I am as guilty as Chris..I have an old water bottle from times gone by…I refill it and stick it in the fridge..

I have 4 or 5 that I keep in there just for fish’n trips too..

Man I’m cheap…I’ll prolly be depressed the rest of the day now..

Might go buy myself a bottle of water and see if that picks me back up…even if it dont..I’ll have a new bottle to refill..wink

I drink tap and bottled water.  But, I am big on recycling, so I make sure to take my bottles to the recycling center.  And, we recycle here at WBTW, too.

I drink propel…. a lot of propels. I drink them during the day, and 2-3 when I play tennis. I’m sure I spend a ton of money on drinking them, but it’s what I like. I have used the little packages that you can pour in a bottle and add water.
I have a friend who used the same bottle over and over and never cleaned it. He got sick, so please don’t use the same bottle too much.
I also recycle them.

Oh My..How long did it take your friend to get sick?

Chris has been chuggin’ on his bottle for two years now..and let me tell ya..they dont teach bottle cleaning in weather school..

Would you consider 2 years as being “too much” or are you like me and think that is just down right pitiful? The man makes a lil better than minimum wage..surely he could save up over the course of two years to buy a new bottle…;)

Try a thermos or jug that can be put in the dishwasher. I keep vodka in mine at work and say it’s water….

Just kidding!
