Morning Buzz: Rising cookout costs
It you plan on grilling out Monday, you may be paying significantly more than you did last Memorial Day. The Associated Press reports food inflation is at the highest in 20 years. If you plan on buying burgers, hot dogs, beer, soda, condiments, salad, paper plates and lighter fluid, that will run you six percent more than last year. Reports show the rising food prices are pushing people to cut corners and find bargains. Some ideas that may help you cut costs: clip coupons, and buy store brands, which usually cost less than name brands.
