Morning Buzz: Own a piece of TV history
I remember watching the Cosby show as a kid. It was Thursday night, my dad would always make a bowl of popcorn (on the stovetop… we didn’t have a microwave back then), and we’d sit down as a family and watch. This month, you have a chance to buy a piece of Cosby show history on eBay. Some of Dr, Cliff Huxtable’s famous “Cosby Sweaters” are going on sale starting today (June 2nd). The Associated Press reports Cosby’s daughter came across the old sweaters when she was cleaning out the closet, so she decided to put them up for auction to raise money for the charity named after her late brother, Ennis. Ennis Cosby was shot to death in Los Angeles in 1997. The Hello Friend/Ennis William Cosby Foundation raises money for educational programs. Bids start at $5,000, according to eonline.com.
Have you ever bought a piece of TV memorabilia?

Not only have I bought a piece of TV memorabilia..it was local TV memorabilia..
I remember it like it was yesterday..I was out behind the Florence Studio when I was approached and offered this item..
It was a Moses sandel..one of those flip-flop type shoes with a broken strap..it was said to have belonged to Cecil Chandler..but I have only ever known two people to have a foot big enough to fill this thing..
One is Rusty Ray and the other fella..well if he scrunched his toes in..he would be a perfect fit..that would be Eric Walters..
I bought it anyway…in hopes of making a pontoon boat out of it..but as it turns out..the wife wanted a deck on the front of the house..so I under-pinned it and pushed it up there with the tractor..
Those Cosby sweaters are nice..but I’m holding out for something “argyle” from the Bob Juback collection..
