Morning Buzz: Ladies and Gentleman start your remotes

Today’s buzz comes to us from TV station WRTV in Indianapolis. Indianapolis is known for the Indy 500 – a race that reaches speeds of more than 200mph and draws around 250,000 fans. But, one family is starting to make a name for themselves with a race of a different scale: The Guyann 500. The race, named after the family, takes place in their backyard. It features remote controlled cars, a 200 foot concrete track, and the first car to finish 500 laps is the winner. The Guyann’s have been doing this for the past 18 years and it’s become a Memorial Day tradition. Soon, the family tells the station, they plan on adding a Nascar-style remote car race for Labor Day.

I’ll show you video of this today! Be sure to check in between 5am-7am.
