Morning Buzz: How much do you want to pay for dinner?
A restaurant in Bloomfield, NY is offering up something new for customers... a chance for you to decide how much you want to pay for dinner. That’s right, at Connie’s Grapevine Café you can name your price for one dinner plate every night. For example, one night the featured dinner was broiled haddock. Menu price is $11.95, but the owners let customers pay what they can afford. This story aired on Rochester CBS affiliate WROC. The owners told the station they’re doing this for a number of reasons. First -- times are hard for a lot of people and they want to give them a break. They also hope people will continue to come back to the restaurant, so eventually they’ll break even.
The owners said they pick the featured menu item based on what foods are on sale at the grocery store that week.

This was actually a pretty smart move on John and Connie’s part..
They werent native to Bloomfield..their new business was slow..so they needed a gimmick that would break the ice with the locals and draw in business..
I think in the right location and the fact that most people are decent would work in your favor..with the occassional person or group of people that would take advantage of this..
I would definitely frequent a place that thought that much about helping out the community..instead of lining their own pockets..
