Morning Buzz for Thursday 3/6/08 - Another reality family

In recent years the family members of celebrities have become celebrities themselves thanks to reality TV. Many of us have seen the shows: “Run’s House” features the family of Run from the ground-breaking rap group Run DMC. “Hogan Knows Best” which centers around former pro-wrestler Hulk Hogan, and of course rocker Ozzy Osbourne’s hit family show “The Osbournes.” Now, actress Lindsay Lohan’s family is joining the celebrity-reality family. “Livin’ Lohan” debuts this summer on the E! channel. CBS News says the show will follow Lindsay’s mom Dina as she manages Lindsay’s hectic schedule while helping the younger Lohan, Ali, jump start her music and acting career. Lindsay has made headlines in recent months for a string of troubles that led to a stint in rehab. However, she may not actually be seen on this show… it may only show mom, little sis and her two brothers.

Do you watch the celeb family shows? I think there are two reasons many of the shows are popular – (1) You get a behind the scene look at the lives of the rich and famous, and (2) you want to see if famous families are like your own family.
