Morning Buzz for Monday 2/25/08 - Bargain Shopping Brides
Today’s buzz comes to us from CBS affiliate WBZ in Boston. Last week Filene’s basement held it’s bi-annual “Running of the Brides.” That’s where hundreds of brides and some of their fiancés wait on line for hours to rush into the store and find the perfect wedding dress at a perfect price. One example: a dress that retails for $3,900 is sold for $499. So, maybe these brides-to-be are on to something. The cost of a wedding can grow out of control… so it would be great to get a dress at a price that doesn’t break the budget. What do you think?

I think if young married couples knew what old married couples know...they’d all get married in blue jeans and save all that money for future expenses…
..such as “beer and tater chips” to celebrate your 50th wedding anniversary...
