Morning Buzz for 3/4/08 - Can your cell phone help your diet?

Can your cell phone help your diet? Possibly… according to a report from CBS affiliate KOIN in Portland, OR.

You can now get nutritional information straight to your cell phone via text message. It’s a free service from diet.com (http://www.diet.com/mobile/) - standard text messaging rates apply. In this story, the reporter texted “Frosty” and “Wendys” to 34381 – and almost immediately got a response listing grams of fat and calories. I tried it this morning and did not get a response back, yet. Maybe the site is having some trouble today? Maybe it's too early? Or... maybe I'm not doing this right! Maybe you can try it and help me out!

Anyway, dietitians say a little bit of education is a good thing when determining healthier choices in a fast food world.

No response? Uh Oh..you better keep a scale handy then..wink

I tried it too..but beer and twinkies must not be on their diet list..so all I got was laughed at..not even by a real person..but by a text message..how embarrassing..

That’s OK tho..I dont care how big I get..ya’ll will still love me..I just know you will..smile

Especially Chris..ya’ll prolly dont notice it..but he gives me a lil wink in the morning during his forecast…go ahead..watch him and see if it aint so..:D
