Robot pumps? I miss the personal touch, I do remember the days of Full Service and a Robot Arm is just not the same. Not to mention in the video piece that ran during the story, by the time the arm began to pump.I would have been almost done..
What’s next? Robotic News and Meterologists? I hope not..

Really woke up when I heard robotit pumps, nice!
Don’t you think we have enough obesity in the world and this will be one more not to do
thing. Oh, please don’t think this will come cheap,it’s like buying a piece of meat, everytime the knife cuts it the cost goes up. Not all things automatic will help us, oh, and what about the time it doesn’t work and marks or dents the new car. More is not always better.

How much exercise is involved in pumping gas ?

I must be doing it wrong..

I believe the cost of one of these pumps was 110,000 dollars..so it definitely wont be cheap to sit there for a half hour waiting for R2D2 to figure out how to open the gas cap on your Volkwagon Beetle..

I bet that thing would knock you clean off your Harley trying to figure that one out..:(

There are some good sights to the use of them.

Exact pumping with no waste (the dribble spots you see on the ground) which means a more environment friendly gas station.

A few less drive offs.

Probably won’t see those fools who smoke while pumping gas. If you are wondering I saw 3 last week.

Man we are getting to be a lazy society..I have to admit I sometimes wish they would come up with a voice activated keyboard so I dont have to type..

Something like this can only make you wonder.  With the high cost of this “robot” how would the proprietor recoup the expenditure? My initial guess would be higher gas prices. Logically – why expend that sort of money to have gas pumped into your customer’s tanks, when they are currently doing it themselves – for free!  This is a gimmick; one I personally believe is destined for failure.

This is currently only in The Netherlands I believe..but some idiot with money (not me) will decide to give it a go over here..

As we all know..if you put it out there..some people will use it..adore it..even swear by it..

I however agree with Mousie up there..this can go on the shelf next to the snow-globe..

I’m curious what Lyra thinks tho..I do believe she has gotten away without expressing her opinion….yet again..

Oh Good Morning to you to Wolf.You must Be The Moderator Here or Have some offical Capacity For The Morning Buzz on this Blog Huh Wolf. !!Well Gas Pumping Robots!!, Oh buy the way I work on some very High Tech. Equiptment and Know Quite a bit about Electronic equiptment The Engineers keep Pushing The limits.. Every day… one Problem would be that gas Pumps sit outside and or under Bay’s and microprocessor’s Cannot Take Heat..Or certain cold temp’s either..The problem with heat would be the Robot gas Pump in the Summer Month’s when the temperature are in 90’s not to mention the Heat Indexes Being in the 100’s is that the heat would cause the pumps to Malfunction…Maybe the robot would try to put gas in the keyhole of your car instead of the gas door…Hey I Konow They Could Enclose The Gas bay’s and Air condition them that would cure the problem….Yeah That’s what the Engineer’s probley have in mind…..Got to Keep them Engineer’s Busy…..Well i’m kinda one Myself…But more practical though….There goes gas prices going up with Robot Gas Pump’s Get Ready!! So when the sensor fails to detect and tell the processor to Flush. Well to add Insult to this as well.and like i was taught went to wash my hands afterward.the automatic hand paper towel Dispenser was also broken and no handle on the side to dispense the paper towels so with that being said are we sure that we Really want Robotic gas Pumps Fueling our Car’s!!
