Morning Buzz: A very valuable can of soup
Today’s buzz comes to us from CBS affiliate KOIN in Vancouver, OR. A woman there accidentally gave away some of her most prized jewelry. Theresa Hekel told the station she donated three bags of food to a food bank earlier this month, but then realized one of the cans of Campbell’s soup she donated was actually a safe-in-disguise. Inside it were her wedding ring and other sentimental items.Hekel contacted the local food bank and even went to the warehouse and searched though 155,000 pounds of food. Food bank officials say they’re not sure if the can is still there, or if it has already been shipped out.
Hekel is offering a $100 reward in hopes her soup can will return. She says if she gets it back, she’ll never store it with her canned goods again.
Has anything similar happened to you with one of these safes-in-disguise. Maybe you didn’t donate it, but forgot about it and didn’t know where you placed one of your valuables. I want to hear from you!

That poor lady..I do hope someone honest finds and returns her valuables..it would be a happy ending for such a generous person as she was..
With me..if I ever put money in my wallet..it is as good as lost..I rarely go in there again for months at a time..but it is a good day when I do..I have found as much as 500 bucks in there that I forgot I had put in there..
I found 95 dollars in there the other day..we have been eating “ Hardee’s Thick Burgers” ever since..
I always suspected that Chris had a toy box at his Mommy and Daddy’s house was but was too afraid to bring it up..I’m glad he came clean on the show this morning...
..*LOL*
