Morning Buzz: A new umbrella?



There’s a new umbrella of sorts on the market called Nubrella. It’s a hands-free device that covers your head and shoulders… and kind of looks like a beach ball (I think)! The idea is full rain coverage. We all know, sometimes umbrellas can be blown around by the wind, or sometimes rain can still get to us from the side. So, Nubrella claims to solve that problem. But, it does look a little out of the ordinary. The cost, according to the product’s website is $49.99. We’ll show you what the Nubrella looks like this morning. The only crowd I can think of that would actually cause this product to take off like a bottle rocket...is pot smokers..

Had these been around at WoodStock..chances are we would still be there today...naked..but dry..

Over-looking the fact that it makes you look like a human condom..it would definitely get you the most out of your drugs..

I hope Media General makes these mandatory..with “Coverage You Can Count On” printed on them..smile

Kind of dorky looking. I bet it would be fun to wear one in the mall.  I’d walk around coughing loudly and drooling. Bet I wouldn’t have to wait in line.

I think Lyra wants one..she seemed awful excited about this thing..smile

I cant imagine anyone wanting to deal with the hassle of opening it..putting it on..being laughed at..taking it off..then closing it back up..

It has shoulder straps...so it would be way too hard for me to figure out..I’d do better just getting wet..smile

Who knows… maybe one day it will be as popular as the umbrella… or maybe not.  I guess it depends on how well it works… and if you take function over fashion. wink
