Monday After The Masters still going strong

Hootie and the Blowfish might not be making any albums together anymore but they sure know how to put on a golf tournament.
I got to attend their 15th annual Hootie and the Blowfish Golf Tournament in North Myrtle Beach and it definitely was an interesting experience. The event was again sold out with about 6,000 people there and you had celebrities from all walks of life such as former LPGA star Annika Sorenstam, comedian Bill Murray and wrestler Ric Flair.
Celebrities were able to interact with the fan also have fun playing golf as evidence John Daly playing some of his round in his bare feet
And it is a good way for the Grand Strand to get some good publicity especially because the event will be shown on The Golf Channel at a later date.
More importantly the tournament has raised more than $4 million since it started and helps go toward education in South Carolina and the state’s junior golf program.
That’s a winning combination.
