Life and Death Stories of Coincidence

I've always been intrigued by stories of coincidence.

What sparked this is a story that hit the news a couple of weeks ago.

Soul and R&B singer Al Wilson died on April 21. He had the number-one hit "Show and Tell" in 1974. Kidney failure killed him. He was 68.
Pop singer Paul Davis' birthday was April 21. He died on April 22. He had several big hits in the late 70s and early 80s. A heart attack killed him. He was 60.
Here's the kicker, though. Both Davis and Wilson... who died one day apart... were from the same small hometown of Meridian, Mississippi.
What are the chances that two of a small town's top products would die one day apart?

That coincidence, however, pales in comparison to what I have to think is the greatest coincidence in U.S. history.

That's when founding fathers (not to mention two of our first three presidents) John Adams and Thomas Jefferson died on the same day, 50 years to the day after the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
That right there shoots down those who don't believe in coincidence.

Enough of death. Both Abraham Lincoln and Charles Darwin were born on the exact same day, February 12, 1809.

Nicole Boone and I share the same birthday, too. We're perhaps the only anchor team in the world that can claim that. However, I need to stress that while we were both born on September 23, we're nine years apart.

And how's this for both birth... AND death.

A Sioux Falls, South Dakota, couple were married for 43 years.
Both Kent and Diana Kraft were born on the same day, September 2, 1941.
Diana came down with Lou Gehrig's Disease. Her suffering evidently impacted Kent's health.
These two who were born the same day... died on the same day... February 9 of this year.
