Lackluster racing and NASCAR’s bad boy

The first race on Darlington’s new surface wasn’t definitely one to remember.
Sure there were a lot of lead of lead changes, 35 among 15 drivers, but it lacked the drama and excitement the previous two weeks at Talladega and Richmond were.
I know Kyle Busch had a lot to do it with. He dominated the race and was the class of the field. But I think in time we will see better racing and a little more drama at the end.
Back to Busch, I think he really is embracing this whole bad boy image. From the bowing to the crowd after the race to the fake tears during prerace ceremonies, Busch seems to love drawing the ire of the fans.
You know I don’t blame him. He’s winning in almost everything he has gotten into, including Denny Hamlin’s Late Model charity even last week at Richmond. At 23, NASCAR needs a young, brash and cocky instead of politically correct drivers.
Sports are better when you can find people that you can root against. And he is definitely someone you can love to hate.
