It’s time to celebrate our children!
News13 and McLeod Health will team up once again tomorrow for the Children’s Miracle Network Celebration. It takes place from noon until 8p.m. on WBTW News13, Saturday, May 30.The broadcast allows News13 and the hospital to recognize the miracle children of McLeod Children’s Hospital. It’s also a celebration of the individuals, businesses, civic and faith-based organizations, and many others who financially support the hospital each year.
McLeod Children’s Hospital in Florence serves the entire News13 region, from the Pee Dee to the Grand Strand, and Southeastern, North Carolina. This means sick and injured children from all these areas are helped at McLeod.
It’s an honor to be a part of this broadcast. The CMN broadcast provides a wonderful opportunity to celebrate children, and I believe they are truly a gift from God.
I am blessed to have two healthy children. My youngest was actually born during the CMN broadcast eight years ago at McLeod. I was actually on the air when I went into labor, and the next day my daughter was born. I was fortunate to have a healthy baby girl, and fortunate to have the Children’s Hospital right there in case there were complications. My son was also born at McLeod, without complications. He is now 11.
