It’s A New Car!

I was out sick last week. Had to have minor, outpatient surgery. I'm back now, and glad to be back in the office. I think our little cat, precious Frida, was a little sick of me invading her "sleep time" at home!
I get sick and tired of sitting around doing nothing. I couldn't even read a book I've been working on for a month. I get restless, real fast.
My mom reminded me that I was this way a lot when I was younger. We lived in Maryland during my school years, and we had plenty of snow days, including some weeks where we didn't get to school at all.
It's fun, for the first two days or so, but by day three, I was ready to get back to school, to see my friends, to "catch up."
That's how last week was.
That's who I am.
And it's probably why I am in television news. I want to be a part of "what's going on," and a part of "who knows what."
So, now, it's good to hear the squawk of the police scanner in our new Myrtle Beach newsroom, rather than Rich Fields exclaiming to another lucky contestant that he or she could win "A NEW CAR!"
It's good to be blogging, and I look forward to sharing with you all what is going on, and how I see it from my little corner of the newsroom.
It should be a lot easier, because for the first time in more than 50 years, a WBTW newsroom has windows!

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

The whole dream of democracy is to raise the proletarian to the level of stupidity attained by the bourgeois.
