It drives me crazy

So I opened up a Christmas present from my parents a couple of days ago, it was blue jeans. It was the pair I told them I wanted. They were my correct size, but I couldn't get them past my hips.

Immediately I was frustrated. This always happens. I knew I wouldn't be able to get away with just telling my parents to get my size. It's never that simple.

So, I then have to go and exchange the pants. Just knowing that I have to go make the exchange makes me mad. It drives me crazy the way stores make their clothes. I can pick up every pair of pants a store offers, go and try them on, and none of them will fit me the same as any of the others.

I understand there are different styles, but I will pick up all of the pants within that same style. They will all say the same exact thing on their tag, but they will be a different color. When I go to try them on, one pair I will not be able to get past my hips, the next pair will be too tight at the waist, then the next too tight in the rear end, next they will fit but they will just come down way to low. Finally, after trying on countless pairs of pants, I will find one that fits me exactly the way they should.

Another thing that drives me absolutely nuts is the fact that every pair of pants out there in these little trendy stores make their pants way too low. I understand this is the style now, but not everyone can pull this off and I am one of those people who can not. If these stores do offer a different style besides super-duper-low rise, they have an extremely high waist line with tapered legs. Ok, just because I can't pull off the super-duper-low rise look, I have to dress like I'm stuck in the 80s? That's not fair.

I remember when the low rise thing first started to make a come back, they were cool and I welcomed the change. Now, we only have the choice in the super-duper-low rise pants. We don't even have the option to just get normal low rise.

So, pretty much, I do not go shopping to clothing too often. I just end up getting frustrated because I can't find stuff to fit right.

If you know of a store that makes their pants fit the same in the hips, waist and rear end at a reasonable price... please be sure to let me know.
