I had a great Sunday morning drive to work.
Well...on my way to work this morning I was listening to one of my Janis Joplin cd's and I started to wonder how things would be if she hadn't overdosed on drugs and was still making music, ya know, 35 years...well longer than that, but 35 years after she appeared on the music scene. At work, I looked at today's paper along with Friday and Saturday's editions. I'm off on Friday and Saturday so I disappear into the confinements of my home. Anyway, the headline on one of the days was "What if King were Alive?" What if...apparently I'm not the only person out there that wonders what if or what could have. So I got to thinking about life and what if's pertaining to decisions I've made. What if I hadn’t gone to college or what if I'd gone to college in Washington DC? What if I bought a different car? What if I didn't move here? What if I'd majored in engineering instead of journalism? What if I'd made a left turn instead of a right!?! Joking...but I'm sure everyone wonders "what if" at some point. What are some of your what if's?

What if I had married you instead..and had to cook for myself on Sundays...
Sometimes it’s just best to hold onto the cards you are dealt in life...everything happens for a reason..I think it is alot bigger than us and we will never fully understand this..
I could sit here forever wondering “what if” I hadnt posted this..how much better would my life have really been..or I could just post this and go get another beer..
Guess I dont need to tell you which choice won out..
