Hudson loving L.A.
Orlando Hudson seems to be doing just fine. The Darlington native, who is in his first year with the Dodgers, is hitting .333 with two homers and five RBI and is coming off one of his best days as a pro.
Hudson hit for the cycle Monday, becoming the second Dodger to accomplish that feat. Wes Parker was the only other Dodger to do it.
Parker released a statement congratulating Hudson, who told reporters after the game he had to be told he completed the feat.
Hudson had some concerns about him going into the season. After all, he was coming an almost career-threatening hand injury.
He struggled during spring training but when I talked to him a couple weeks ago he said everything would be fine and he was completely healthy.
But judging by his numbers and his head-first slide into third base Monday, things are going according just like a Hollywood script.
