Holiday travel season is here

AAA Carolinas says more than a million people from North and South Carolina will hit the roads or head to the airport this week for the Thanksgiving holiday.

I'll be among them, with plans to pack the family up and drive down to Alabama on Wednesday night. A lot of people dread the holiday drive, but not me. I actually look forward to it. There's something about driving that actually relaxes me. I don't know why, I'm just wired that way.

But I can understand how other people get stressed out. The traffic, the long lines at the airport, sky-high gas prices - I can see how it could have a cumulative effect.
