Hitting the Linc’s - True Blue
This week's course: True Blue in Pawleys IslandFull disclosure: The pro at True Blue, Bob Seganti, cohosts "The Golf Guys" with me on Saturday mornings from 8-10am on ESPN Radio "The Team" in Myrtle Beach. So the two of us are close, but I have no problem being critical of his golf course.
That being said, there's not a lot to be critical of. The finishing holes of 17 and 18 are two of the best finishing holes on the South Strand. The course is in impeccable shape and offers a wide variety of different types of holes.
For example, there's the par 5 fourth, which horseshoes around a lake. There's the par 4 second which us only about 290 yards, but the last 90 is all sand. And there's the par 4 eighth, which has one of the toughest greens on the Grand Strand.
If you want memorable holes, True Blue is the course for you. It's extraordinarily challenging, with a ton of bunkers, and then there's a bunch of waste as well.
But it's a great challenge, and really a gem on the South Strand.
What do you think of True Blue?
