Hey, October was warm!

Our summer heat usually breaks in September, and by October, we are enjoying much milder weather. Not this year. We were still warming into the 90s during the second week of the month, and we set record highs in Florence on October 8th, 9th, 17th, 18th, 22nd and 23rd!

Since we all sweated through it, you probably will not be surprised that October 2007 was the warmest October on record in Florence! Here are the facts from the National Weather Service:

THE FINAL NUMBERS ARE IN FOR OCTOBER. FLORENCE HAD ITS WARMEST
OCTOBER ON RECORD. RECORDS FOR FLORENCE ARE SINCE 1948.
WILMINGTON HAD ITS 5TH WARMEST OCTOBER ON RECORD. RECORDS FOR
WILMINGTON ARE SINCE 1871.

Even though it was warm yesterday, it did cool down today, and by next week we could have some very cold weather moving in.... so it is unlikely that November 2007 will end up as warm as October.
