Here’s to bad fantasy football decisions

I'd like to thank my sports editor, Sam Bundy -- not for anything job-related, but for playing Marc Bulger over Brett Favre.
Thanks to that decision, I won last week's game in the Morning News Football League, a fantasy football league made up mostly of current and former Morning News employees we're in. I've been the commissioner for five years and, thanks to an unusually good year, I'm the defending champ.
Bundy wasn't the only victim of an NFL quarterback in the MNFL last week. Two other guys played the wrong QB -- Jake Delhomme over Donovan McNabb and Matt Leinart over Derek Anderson -- though neither decision cost them the game. One of them still won.
So don't feel too bad, Sam. I've made plenty of bad starts in six-plus years of fantasy football ... I'm sure another one's coming.
