Groove is ... on ‘The Muppet Show’

I’ve been searching for new music to listen to recently; well, music that’s new to me.
I found some tunes I like on Jim Henson’s “The Muppet Show.” The first two seasons are out on DVD.
I know I watched some of the reruns back in the day, but I didn’t remember much about it, except Miss Piggy using her karate skills to take out other muppets or guests.
Many of the guest stars would sing at least one song. Some of my favorites, so far, include Lou Rawls singing “Groovy People,” Petula Clark’s “Downtown” and Charles Aznavour singing “Inchworm.”
I’ve since downloaded the first two songs off iTunes. I couldn’t find Aznavour’s version of “Inchworm,” so I tried one of his other songs, “Emmenez moi.” Another song I really like was Paul Williams’ “An Old Fashioned Love Song.”
If you have any song suggestions, post a comment. I listen to most genres of music.

Remember when Elton John was on, and Miss Piggy told Kiki Dee to eat her heart out? It was like the diva episode of the Muppet Show!

I’m right there with you on the Muppets.
Personally, I’ve always liked “Rainbow Connection.“

I remember when Harry Belafonte was on the Muppet Show. I think Miss Piggy dressed up like a flamenco dancer. It was good times.

My sense of humor with the Muppets is decidedly low-brow, i.e., Animal and his obssession with drums, sex and food, not necessary in that order (in the immortal words of Frank Oz).
WOMAN! WOMAN!! WOMAN!!!

See things as they are and write about them. Don?t waste your creative energy trying to make things up. Even if you are writing fiction, write the things you see and know.
