Gas prices and vacations
With vacation season here, you either have reservations already or you're thinking of where to go. We'd like to know if gas prices are a factor this year? Myrtle Beach is normally a driving destination. Many of the tourists that visit the Grand Strand drive from the mid-west and other mid-atlantic states. Here are a few questions on which we'd like your input:
Do you plan to keep your reservations or cancel?
Will you stay a full week or cut down the number of days/nights?
Do you plan to eat at a restaurants each night or cook?
Do you plan on shopping while here?
If you are chaning your plans, is gas the main reason? If not, what is?
We plan to run a story on this Wednesday, May 14th. You can check back to see the responses.
Thanks!

Do you plan to keep your reservations or cancel?
Keep them. Greedy oil mongers will not deny me the vacation time I deserve with my family.
Will you stay a full week or cut down the number of days/nights?
We will stay the full week.
Do you plan to eat at a restaurants each night or cook?
Both. We will dine out some but mostly do our own cooking.
Do you plan on shopping while here?
No. I’m sure the wife will.
If you are chaning your plans, is gas the main reason? If not, what is?
Only change is that we will only fish one day. Boat has a 110 gallon tank. We use most of it on an offshore trip. Normally, we’d try to fish at least 3 times during the week. Not this year.
