Fisch Tank: Tale of two innings
Bad luck has reared it's head again, and has locked it's teeth on the Chanticleers. After a deceiving four batter easy first inning, Nick McCully followed it up in the second by allowing the Tar Heels to bat around. UNC grabbed the early lead on a Garrett Gore single up the middle scoring Kyle Seager. With runners on first and second and one out on, North Carolina put on the double steal. Dock Doyle's throw was in time, yet third baseman Scott Woodward dropped the ball on the swipe. Following a Ryan Graepel ground out which should have landed the Chants in the dugout. North Carolina rallied for five runs with two outs on. Coastal Carolina could have a second round TKO on their hands. North Carolina is having no problems picking up McCully's velocity or his breaking ball. Pete Andrelczyk is warming up in the bullpen as I type. As for North Carolina pitcher Adam Warren, his stuff is not that impressive, CCU should gets some runs in. I just don't know if they can keep pace at this point. For more info check out NCAA.com
