Fisch Tank: Furious Friday
Friday has been a slapping contest between the “Lady in Black” and the drivers. The winner between the two has clearly been Darlington. Jimmie Johnson has had a tough day, and Denny Hamlin couldn’t even qualify for the Diamond Hill Plywood 200. His Farm Bureau #18 smacked the wall in turn one and rode the safer barrier all the way down past the Darlington, South Carolina sign. In what seemed like Hamlin was trying to erase the name of the town making him look bad.Yet, as everyone knows he hasn’t been the only one struggling. Sprint Cup cars lined up for inspection after taking the time to pound out the dents on the engines and the right side panels. Matt Kenseth has been a ghost in the garages, but it is apparent he is here. He has left paint all over the walls at the track to tough to tame. Cup qualifying is about to begin so I need to get out there. To see all the action tune into News 13 @ 6:00pm & 11:00pm.
One last note, Carl Edwards took the poll for the DHP 200 with a speed of 176 MPH. The #60 will sit in the front row next to Clint Bowyer, and Tony Stewart will start third for tonight’s race.
