I plan on hitting the polls around 6:30. Hopefully, I can vote and make it to work on time. Finding the time to vote is a challange. I’m glad there is no school today. That helps. I’d rather see voting done on the weekends when most people have time. I’ve heard more than on person comment that they can’t miss work to go to the polls.

One hour wait at Grice Rec Center(Marion) this a.m.
Long lines and a bit unorganized.  They need more poll workers on the outside.

Thanks for the updates, Mr. Mookie.

I arrived at my poling place at 6:45 hoping to vote and be done with it. The parking lot at Florence Bible Chapel and everywhere else close by was full of cars and a line had formed. The last time I voted I got there about 6:50 and I was the the first voter. I initiated plan B and went on to work. Plan C is to take a half day of vacation and go back about 2 PM and vote if I have to stand in line until midnight. If you are in line at or before 7:00 you will get to vote. 7:01 and you are out of luck unless you are…...never mind. Go vote!

Oh, by the way. Be on watch for things that don’t look right when you go to vote. Challenge the pole manager, don’t just overlook it. This election is going to be a huge mess before it is all over. Mark my words.

Wow..those are some long lines you have to wait in this time around..it’s wet and it’s cold..downright miserable..

I took me some of that nighttime sniffling..sneezing..coughing..aching..stuffy head..fever..so you can vote medicine…and headed on down to do my civic duty tho..

I had to stand in line for about 4 hours..that aint much better than the line at the pay toilets at the tractor pulls down in Jasper County..

It wasnt all bad..I ran into my old High School sweetheart..we dated for a few years..she said she wasnt the Principal anymore..the year after I graduated they forced her into retirement..

The important thing tho..is that I did get out and vote..even tho I have a chronic fear of women poll workers..who like to touch you..

Some people in this world are just too helpful..smile

Happy Election Day!!!

Plan C worked. I arrived at Florence Bible Chapel as planned at 2PM. There were about 100 to 150 or so people in line, but all were inside the building. 35 or so minutes later I had done what Wolf did…....My civic duty was complete, vote, not meet a high school date/principal and I was only touched once by a pole worker. A pretty one I might add. I saw no voting discrepancies, voting machine (or wardrobe) malfunctions. The weather did not dis wade very many if any people from voting and that is a good thing. Darnedest election day I have ever seen. People should vote like this every election.

Nikki and Bob look lost. The coverage so far has been disappointing.

I dont think old Siskel and Ebert would have given them two thumbs up on last nights coverage..

..it didnt get any better as the night progressed..

It appeared as if “anything that could go wrong”...did…

Somewhere between Master Control…and the Studio..someone kept dropping the ball..

..so many times that it started sounding like the tail-end of a Laker’s game..

Whoever was running the squeeze-backs and scrolls..should be fired..right after they run over them with the news van..

Election Night 2008 coverage made the Hurricane Hanna coverage look like an award winning motion picture..
