Dinner with the morning crew
Happy Wednesday! We’re half-way to the weekend!Things are going well here on the morning shift. I went to lunch with some of the AM crew on Monday. And by lunch, I mean dinner. When you work this schedule it’s like you’re always a meal ahead of almost everyone else you know. When I finish anchoring the morning show and the network cut-ins, it’s usually around 9. And sometimes I just feel like having a burger because I’ve been up for several hours by then. When I was a morning reporter in Nashville, I would go to a fast-food restaurant that was open 24 hours and served a full menu all day. I’d go in and order a hamburger or a chicken sandwich and some curly fries at 7:30 in the morning. Sometimes people looked at me funny… but if they watched the news that morning… they understood.
