Debate planning like building a circuit board

I am really enjoying interviewing the folks working on the debates. My big “take away” this week was the realization that it takes a ton of hard work- physical and mental- to plan and execute a major event. I kinda already knew that from my past career at the Myrtle Beach Area Hospitality Association. But these debates are truly unlike any event Myrtle Beach has every hosted. When I think about the logistics, I think about an electrical circuit board. Okay, I am about the furthest thing from an engineer possible, but I would guess every wire has to be perfectly lined up and connected to make whatever you’re engineering come alive. I am so impressed with how the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber folks have worked so far to get it all together. They are doing a very good job of utilizing the talents and commitments of many. And I look forward to seeing even more, as the events unfold.
